Placenta encapsulation is a centuries old method of postpartum care which many, many mothers have found helpful in their own postpartum journeys. Some of the anecdotal benefits to consuming your encapsulated placenta include increased release of the hormone oxytocin, which helps the uterus return to normal size and encourages bonding with your baby, increase in CRH (a stress-reducing hormone), decrease in postpartum depression levels, restoration of iron levels in the blood which helps with energy levels in the postpartum, and increase in milk production. Yields 100-200 capsules, depending on placenta size.
